R/18 Presents: An Interview with the Author

The R/18 Collective is happy to introduce its latest initiative, An Interview with the Author series. This series will be dedicated to highlighting the latest scholarship in Restoration and Eighteenth-Century Theater and Performance Studies, and we expect to drop a new episode in the series every couple of months or so. It is my great pleasure to launch this series with an interview featuring Alex Hernandez on this new book, The Making of British Bourgeois Tragedy: Modernity and the Art of Ordinary Suffering (Oxford University Press, 2019). I want to thank Alex for joining me over zoom for a delightful conversation. And I want to invite all of our colleagues in the field to enjoy this interview and to keep your eyes peeled for our next installments in the months ahead! You can find the first episode here: https://youtu.be/i3hPHzIXPyU
