The R/18 Collective focuses on how the 18th-century repertoire bears on our contemporary moment. Join us for an on-line Roundtable to explore Against the Grain Theatre’s highly acclaimed production of Messiah/Complex with members of the company and scholars specializing in theatre, music, and Indigeneity in the eighteenth-century. Messiah/Complex transforms Handel’s oratorio into a complex meditation on Indigenous communities’ situated knowledge and critique.
